Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 9, 2026
Daily Pulse provides aggregated, real-time insights about local conditions such as traffic, internet connectivity, electricity, and utilities. Protecting user privacy is a core principle of the product. This policy describes what data we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.
1. Information We Collect
Daily Pulse collects minimal data necessary to operate the service. We may collect:
- Approximate location data derived from device location services
- Signal reports submitted by users (e.g., traffic marked as good, okay, or bad)
- Technical information such as device type, operating system, and app version
We do not collect:
- Names, email addresses, or phone numbers
- Exact GPS coordinates stored long-term
- Contacts, photos, or personal files
- Advertising identifiers
All reports are treated as anonymous signals, not personal statements.
2. Location Data
Location is used solely to associate reports with nearby cities or regions. Location data is processed to determine approximate areas — exact coordinates are never exposed publicly and are not sold or shared with third parties. Users may deny location access; in such cases, reduced functionality may apply. Location overrides apply only to the next submitted report and are not stored as preferences.
3. How We Use Data
We use collected data to:
- Aggregate and display real-time local insights
- Improve signal accuracy and system reliability
- Detect abuse or anomalous reporting patterns
- Maintain operational security and stability
Data is never used for personalized advertising, behavioral profiling, or selling user information.
4. Data Retention
We retain data only as long as necessary to maintain historical trends, ensure system integrity, and support operational analysis. Raw reports may be aggregated or anonymized over time.
5. Data Sharing
Daily Pulse does not sell user data. Data may be shared only in aggregated, non-identifiable form, when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or integrity of the service.
6. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data. However, no system is completely secure, and use of the service is at your own risk.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
